My Story

Through my 24 years in education, my fascination with neuroscience and being a lifelong observer of people, I realized that there is so much more going on when a person acts out or makes choices that mystify us. I also realized that there are many people who are not aware of how trauma can change our brains and make us behave in ways that society doesn't accept. My hope is that by educating others to "Take a Second Look", I can create more compassion for those who are still suffering from trauma years after it occurred. Eventually I would like to speak to groups of all kinds - civic groups, educators, healthcare workers, educators, faith based groups, etc.
